Problem Which will hold more, Farm eggs or Store eggs?
Introduction Have you ever wondered which kind of eggs were stronger and better than the other? Well I am going to test to see which one is stronger and better for you.
Hypothesis I predict that the farm eggs will hold more than the store eggs.
Materials
Farm eggs
Store eggs
scale (to measure book weight)
glass
paper
pencil
computer
bottle lids
friends
Procedure
Gather all materials
Set eggs on bottle lids
Set glass on the eggs- CARE FULLY!
Then start adding weight to the eggs
Record results
Independent variable- Type of Eggs (Farm vs. Store) Dependent variable-results (weight held) Control variable-same glass, same bottle lids, same scale, same books used.
Conclusion
The store eggs held more than the farm eggs. And most of the research that I did on eggs, the store eggs would be no different in health benefits. was but in strength the store wins. Major Observations
I think that I should have tried to get the eggs close to the same size so they dont break sooner. And I think that I should have used a lighter piece of glass. Possible Applications
Possible Causes of Error
The eggs being set a littel off in the botel lids.The whate noy being evenly on the glass.
Further Research
I researched the different texture of egg shells and how they are formed, this helped me decide how I should apply the weight to the eggs so that they holed a considerable amount. Time Spent
